About Me

Hey, so I’m Steve.

Hater of posing, lover of natural, unscripted, real moments.

I know you’ve probably heard it before, but I love what I do.  It’s not something I set out to be or do – a wedding photographer.  An unfortunate set of circumstances put me on this path, together with a ‘life’s too short’ moment and now here I am.  Almost thankful for those circumstances, I still get shivers knowing I get to do something for a living that I genuinely love doing so much. To be able to capture moments as they happen, capture the moments you may miss or may not even realise have happened, so that you can re-live your wedding over and over again.

As Steve the photographer, I’m always searching for those unscripted moments, those moments that make your day what it is. A bit of a perfectionist – but in good way.  I’d rather break rules than follow them, after all this is what makes your day unique.  I may even/sometimes encourage it.

As Steve the away from the camera, I’m a husband and a dad to two little humans.  They take up most of the time away from the camera as kids do.  Outdoors is where I’m most happiest, usually in the hills and mountains.  I love to ski.  Sport is also a big love.  As is music.  Pretty standard stuff really.  Also a bit of a perfectionist – but in good way.

“Wedding photography is clearly more than just a job to Steve; it is a passion, which you can clearly see through his work. We couldn't have asked for a more friendly, relaxed, discrete or personal photographer.”

My Style

I like to create memories that will last a life time.  Memories that will take you back to that special day time after time. I want emotions to be stirred each and every time you look at your photographs, an emotional connection to long lasting memories.  To me, this is what good photography does.

Unobtrusive and certainly not wanting to be the centre of attention in any way, I prefer to be in the background, quietly going about my work.  From little glances here and there to big fat belly laughs, these are the moments I aim to document.

There aren’t many couples that like being in front of the camera, most don’t.  I find this approach makes you more comfortable, more at ease which inevitably leads to more relaxed photographs. I always say that should you wake up the morning after your big day wondering where the photographer was – then I’ve done my job.
