Honestly, the first time I photographed a wedding at Dewsall Court, I fell in love! No exaggeration, I literally fell in love. It’s the most perfect romantic venue and is quite simply stunning.
Set in pristine Herefordshire countryside, Dewsall Court is located 5 miles south of Hereford. By hiring Dewsall Court as a venue, your wedding celebrations will be taking place in 12 acres of beautiful pristine countryside with panoramic views of the Black Mountains.
GETTING MARRIED AT DEWSALL COURT
This place has it all – even more so from a Dewsall Court wedding photography point of view. Not only are the country house and grounds amazingly well presented, there are just so many different locations at Dewsall for photographs to be captured. There’s even options for the bride and groom on where they wish to conduct their wedding ceremony. You may want to walk down the aisle at the onsite Church which is a perfect traditional option. Or couples may wish to consider the many outdoor locations in which they can recite their wedding vows. These include the Lake Field, the West Lawn, the Arboretum or there’s also the main lawn under the Canopy – a beautiful wedding tipi type tent.
Perhaps you’d like an indoor wedding ceremony, especially if the weather isn’t looking favourable. There’s a choice of two beautifully rustic wedding barns, the Wainhouse Barn or the Pole Barn, or perhaps the Conservatory would be your perfect location for which to tie the knot. Can you see what I mean about endless options? And these are just some of the decisions those looking to get married are going to have to make.
Do you have your heart set on an outdoor wedding reception? Dewsall Court has you covered. I was fortunate enough to photograph one of, if not the first, outdoor wedding receptions on the lawn of the main house. Guests were seated at long tables under the canopy, each decorated with beautiful flowers. A seating arrangement like this is a great option if you want to get your guests mingling with each other. All in all, the most idyllic setting for your wedding breakfast.
The Wainhouse Barn is also another popular choice for couples and can seat up to 170 of your nearest and dearest wedding guests. A blank canvas, this space can be dressed up as newlyweds wish, perhaps with the help of a local wedding planner.
