Jo & Mark's Garthmyl Hall Wedding
Garthmyl Hall Wedding
Jo & Mark kicked off my 2018 wedding season back at the end of April with a trip to a new venue, the gorgeous Garthmyl Hall near Berriew in Powys. Ok, so it wasn't quite my first wedding of 2018, nor the first new wedding venue, but it was the first of the traditional wedding season for me.
Jo is a Shropshire girl at heart and so following the bridal preparation at Garthmyl Hall, we made our way over the border to St. Giles church in Shrewsbury. Their guests were even treated to a vintage bus to transport them to and from the church. The ceremony and church were equally as fantastic as the rest of the day and also queue one of the best vicars I think I've worked with, very entertaining! Chocolate peanuts anyone?!...
Back at the reception the celebrations got under way with the glorious wall to wall sunshine that was the order of the day making everything even more perfect. An acoustic set from the band whilst guests ate their canapés and sipped their bubbles, it really was as good as it sounds! The evening party was rocking and the Trends Party Band pretty damn good, a dance floor that doesn't seem to empty tells it's own story.
All in all it was a truly amazing day. Jo & Mark were great to work for, always happy when I suggested a photo or two, I really cannot thank you enough.
A quick word also about the venue - Garthmyl Hall. If you follow me on social media (if not, you really should) you may have heard me wax lyrical already about how amazing a place it really is. I'd heard good things about it before I got there, but once I had seen it for the first time, I was blown away!! The building itself, the decor, the gardens, even the trees, it really is epic! Julia and her team should be immensely proud of what they have achieved there. And if you're thinking about getting married I urge you to check it out.
